Heather Scimeca, PA

Heather Scimeca is a native of Louisiana who completed her undergraduate degree in kinesiology at LSU. This was followed by a degree in physician assistant studies at LSUHSC-Shreveport and a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from the University of Nebraska. She has been practicing general medical dermatology in private, group and academic medical settings since 2002, her dermatology career spanning the south, west, and now east coasts. She has developed a practice focus in skin cancer surveillance and management, serving the needs of individuals of high risk including solid organ transplant recipients. In recognition of her leadership, clinical excellence and contributions towards exceptional care she was honored by both the Kaiser Permanence Medical Group in San Francisco in 2018 and most recently Duke University in 2025. Heather enjoys building relationships and optimizing skin health through the delivery of quality, personalized, and coordinated care, education, and ongoing communication.
